Overnight Parking Bans Take Effect In Bedford, Goffstown
Bans to help facilitate snow removal will run until April with violators subject to fines and towing at the owner's expense.

BEDFORD, NH — A winter parking ban is now in effect for Bedford with a similar overnight ban set to begin in Goffstown on Friday. Vehicles parked in violation of the ban in both towns are subject to towing and fines.
In Bedford, the ban began on Nov. 1 and will continue through April. Vehicles are restricted from parking on a public highway between midnight and 8 a.m., or at any other time that inhibits snow removal. Those vehicles parked in violation of the ban are subject to be towed as authorized by the Bedford Director of Public Works, the department's agents, or independent snow removal contractors employed through the Director or Public Works or Bedford Police Department.
Vehicles towed in Bedford will be released to the owner only upon payment of a towing cost established by town council. There will be a fine of up to $50 for each infraction.

Gofftown's parking ban will run from Nov. 15 to April 15 from 2 to 5 a.m. Goffstown police strictly enforce the ban with written warnings possible if weather condition are favorable for the first week of the ban.
Goffstown police will make reasonable attempts to locate the owner of a vehicle before towing, but vehicles parked in violation of the ban are subject to tow at the owner’s expense. Any questions regarding the Goffstown ban can be directed to Goffstown police at 603-497-4858.
