PMC To Hold 'Kids Ride' in Memory of Bedford Girl

The second annual Greater Manchester PMC Kids Ride is back this year, scheduled for Sunday, June 3.

MANCHESTER, N.H. - The second annual Greater Manchester PMC Kids Ride is back this year, scheduled for Sunday, June 3. The rides, which will be held at Saint Anselm College, are mini bike-a-thons held all over New England that involve children ages 2 to 15.

This year’s ride will once again be held in memory of Emma Bechert, a 14-year-old girl from Bedford, NH who was actively involved in the community and was a PMC Pedal Partner for Team Emma’s Enchantment before she sadly succumbed to brain cancer in 2016.

These children help to raise money for adult and pediatric patient care and cancer research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through the Jimmy Fund. Last year, the PMC Kids Ride program raised more than $850,000, which was part of the PMC’s monumental $51 million gift to Dana-Farber in 2017.
