Regal Cinema Coming To Bedford's Market And Main Development
The developers of Market and Main in Bedford announced that an 11-screen theatre is coming to the South River Road project.

BEDFORD, NH — The Market and Main project on South River Road has a new tenant: Regal Cinema. The movie theatre chain is opening an 11-screen theatre at the development, according to Encore Commercial, the developer of the project.
The companies signed a lease agreement that will bring a "state-of-the-art" mixed use development to the project.
"Our agreement with Regal is an exciting addition to Market and Main Bedford," said Nic Barber, president of Encore Commercial.

Barber said the first phase of the project, which includes Trader Joe’s, the Friendly Toast restaurant, and Whole Foods Market on one end, and the existing Carrabba’s Restaurant on the opposite end, has been completed. The second phase, which will be anchored by Regal, will also include "indoor and outdoor dining, retail shopping, and luxury residences in the theme of traditional town centers," in an effort to bring "a contemporary reimagining of a traditional New England town center — with a range of activities that are easily accessible and suitable for all ages," he said.
When the project is completed, Market and Main Bedford will provide more than 1,000 construction and permanent jobs, significant projected new annual tax revenue for the town, $690,000 in one-time impact fees, Barber said. About $1 million in local road improvements have already been constructed.
