Dash Video In NH Captures Truck Flipping Across Interstate Lanes

Crash on I-293 in Manchester snarls traffic for hours as crews clean fluids that leaked from a truck along the banks of the Merrimack River.

MANCHESTER, NH — A truck carrying lawncare chemicals was traveling southbound Friday on Interstate 293 when it lost control.

The truck left the right side of the roadway and veered left flipping over the guardrail and landing upside down in the northbound lane. The accident on I-293 that occurred at about 5 p.m. closed one lane of travel backing traffic up for miles.

Emergency crews immediately began to mitigate the fluids leaking from the truck that was located next to the banks of the Merrimack River.

Duval's Towing was called to respond with a hazardous materials truck to apply booms to contain the spill, and clean up the fluids. TruGreen sent an additional truck to the scene so that crews could pump the chemicals from the damaged truck.

The accident scene was cleared at about 7:45 p.m.
