Summer Daytime Theatre Camp for Ages 5 - 14 at The Majestic Theatre!
The Majestic Theatre will once again offer daytime summer theatre camps. Half-day camps will be open for youth 5-7 years of age and full-day camps for youth 8 β 14 years of age. The Majestic prides itself on a strong core of camp directors and instructors all having many years of experience in all aspects of theatre as well as experience working with children and teens.
Camps include:
Princess Whatsername on July 13 β 24 for full day students, With a classic fairy-tale setting, loads of exciting and hilarious roles to play, a variety of entertaining musical numbers and a plot full of mystery and adventure, this script-based camp has it all! It begins in the Misty Forest, where a girl is sleeping all alone. But when she wakes, nothing looks familiar to her. She canβt remember anything β not where sheβs from, how she got here or even her own name! She embarks on a journey to discover her identity and meets several fairy-tale characters along the way. A rocking musical score adds even more fun to new takes on the stories everyone loves. This script-based camp will use the zany story to teach the core skills of music, theatre, and dance with a role for every participant and an activity-based curriculum that will keep the kids engaged and excited!

Fairy Tale Fantasy on July 13 β 24 for half-day students, Young performers will perform in their very own show this year in this movement and activity-based camp, learning the basic theatre skills of acting, singing, and dancing - all the while having an awesome time performing the βFairy Tale Fantasyβ theme-based camp show of songs, stories, and activities. Perfect for the beginner as well as the βup and risingβ star!
The Mad Adventures of Mr. Toad on July 27 β August 7 for full-day students, Join Mr. Toad on his musical mad adventures-itβs a smashing hit in more ways than one! This is a delightful, upbeat version of Kenneth Grahameβs ever-popular Wind in the Willows. Our eccentric but likable Toad of Toad Hall, given to βcrazes,β has a problem: he is obsessed with motorcars and ends up crashing them everywhere he goes! With an exciting and humorous musical score, this charming musical adaptation has been written with a great role for every participant. Let the music and magic of Mr. Toad take you on a wild ride while learning to grow your skills in music, theatre, and dance in an activity-based curriculum that will keep the kids engaged and excited! A script-based that is perfect for all!

Carnival of the Animals on July 27 β August 7 for half-day students
This theme-based camp for young performers will feature a parade of fun-filled activities that will reinforce basic concepts of acting, singing, and dancing in an activity-based curriculum that will keep the performers engaged and excited to learn! βCarnival of the Animalsβ will offer each young performer the ability to work with others to create a performance of songs, stories, and activities based on an exciting theme!
Tuition is $200 for each half-day, 2-week camp and $300 for each full-day, 2-week camp.
Daily schedule includes classes which help build skills in acting, movement, improvisation, music, and cooperative abilities. Students will learn all aspects of theatre in this hands-on learning opportunity. The Majestic fosters a close student-teacher relationship that helps us meet the needs of every young artist. Our goal is to tailor the experience your child will have as they are given the attention and interaction they need to be successful in having a GREAT time learning about theatre and performing arts.
All camps will be held at The Majestic Academy of Dramatic Arts located in Downtown Manchester. Tuition includes all camp materials, camp t-shirt and an afternoon snack. Partial Scholarship assistance is available.
