Tim Tebow Makes "Ponies" Debut in New Hampshire

Heisman Trophy winner and current Rumble Pony leftfielder Tim Tebow made his debut in New Hampshire against the Manchester Fisher Cats.

BEDFORD, NH - Heisman Trophy winner and current Rumble Pony left-fielder Tim Tebow made his debut for Binghamton baseball on Tuesday in New Hampshire. According to Manchester Ink, prior to the game Tebow said even though he's fully committed to baseball right now, he still loves football.

On Tuesday, Tebow hit a pair of doubles and went 2-for-4 at the plate. The Binghamton Rumble Ponies ended a five-game losing streak with a 4-3 win over the New Hampshire Fisher Cats at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.

“I love both of them,” he said. “There’s a time and a place (for both), and for me, football was such a big part of my life and I love it and I’ll always love it and I’ll always want to have a part in the game, but I think you can love more than one thing.”

Tebow says his teammates have gotten used to the glare of his spotlight.

“I don’t think they really care that much anymore,” he said. “At first, it was a little different, but now they’re used to it and if anything, they have fun with it.”
