Traffic To Shift On Route 101 In Bedford

Traffic is scheduled to shift on Route 101 for about a month, as workers tear up the road and put in drainage and pave the road.

BEDFORD, NH — Drivers are asked to use caution on Route 101, where a lane shift change is planned for the next month, starting Friday morning. The portion of Route 101 between Constitution Drive and Liberty Hill Road will be affected. The lane shifts will be in effect starting at 9 a.m.

The lane shifts are part of the road work happening on Route 101. Over the next month, Continental will be tearing up the roadway and installing drainage, as well as paving the road. As a result of this work, drivers will not be able to make a turn onto Bedford Center Road or Old Bedford Way from Route 101. Drivers will be able to access Bedford Center Road from Meetinghouse Road. They will be able to access Old Bedford Way from Old Bedford Road, according to the Bedford Police Department.

Orange buckets and closure signs will be used to block off the roads, according to police. Drivers are asked to use caution.
