Truck Crashes Into Bedford Toll Plaza Injuring Driver

A pickup truck collided into the Bedford toll plaza on the F.E. Everett Turnpike trapping and injuring the driver.

BEDFORD, NH — Bedford firefighters and New Hampshire State Police responded to a report of a pickup truck that had struck the toll plaza in Bedford on Tuesday.

When units arrived at the scene, around 9:15 p.m., they found a pickup truck with heavy front end damage and an adult male trapped in the vehicle. Firefighters extricated the driver and brought him to the waiting ambulance. Bedford EMS transported the man to a local hospital with unknown injuries.

It appears the pickup truck was traveling south on the F.E. Everett Turnpike and struck the concrete barriers at the toll plaza. Initial reports are that there was only one occupant in the pickup truck. It did not appear that anyone working in the toll plaza was injured.

Several toll plaza accidents have occurred in Bedford including one that was fatal on March 8, 2021. A non-fatal accident occurred on December 14, 2020.

New Hampshire State Police are investigating the incident. The truck was removed from the scene by Duval’s Towing.
