Vehicle Crashed Through A House Missing Occupant By Inches

It was a trail of destruction on Wellington Road in Manchester Friday after a vehicle crashed through a utility pole and into a living room.

MANCHESTER, NH — Manchester Fire, AMR, and MPD responded to a crash at Wellington Road and Currier Drive at 10:30 p.m. July 2. The vehicle left a trail of damage from a car which eventually came to rest in the living room of a house. When the car went through the wall of the house it missed the woman sitting on the couch by inches.

The vehicle which was completely inside the house, and when it struck the chimney in the center of the house the vehicle hit so hard it hit the vaulted ceiling and came to rest in the living room.

AMR transported the Elizabeth Rozmovits, 29, from Goffstown to the Elliot Hospital. A second AMR ambulance was requested to transport the woman who had been in the house at the time of the crash.

A long trail of damage was caused by the crash. The vehicle rode the guardrail almost 100 ft, broke a utility pole in half, took out bushes, broke a granite curb and then crashed into the house. The vehicle which was not visible due to how far it was located in the house was believed to be a dark colored BMW.

MPD closed the road for several hours while they investigated the accident, and then removed the vehicle from the house.

LRS Board up contractors was on scene Friday morning securing the side of the house with plywood.

MPD is investigating but all indicators are that speeds during the crash appear much higher than the 30-MPH posted limit.

The occupant of the house was home and speaking to neighbors in the driveway Friday morning.
