Vehicle Crosses I-293 Median, Rolls Over, Trapping Driver In Car

BEDFORD, NH — Bedford Fire, Manchester Fire, AMR, and New Hampshire State Police responded to a report of a rollover crash on Interstate 293 and Route 101 with a person trapped in the vehicle.
A vehicle traveling on the I-293 north-Route 101 west side of the highway around 1 p.m. left the roadway, crossed the median, and rolled over onto the I-293 south-Route 101 east side of the highway.
Manchester Fire crews stretched a hose line while Bedford fire used the “Jaws of Life” to extricate a female from the vehicle.

NH State police said Shyla Dawn Hayes, 24, of Hooksett, was driving her Toyota Yaris north on 293 around 1 p.m. Saturday. According to a state police news release, Hayes lost control of her car. The car jumped the concrete barrier in the center of the highway and landed on its roof in the southbound lanes.
Police said in a news release that Hayes' speed seemed to be a factor in the crash, but said it was still under investigation.
