MANCHESTER, NH — Just days before her trial, a 23-year-old woman has pleaded guilty to arson for setting fire to a Manchester apartment building in January. Dezereih Regan-Gionet, 23, pleaded guilty to arson this week and was sentenced to 3 to 6 years in prison in connection to the fire that occurred at 279 Silver St. on Jan. 30. She is also ordered to pay $3,200 in restitution, according to the Manchester police.

According to police, Regan-Gionet was arrested after a passerby came forward with video dash-cam footage of a suspect carrying gasoline to the scene of the fire earlier that day. The fire happened around 9 a.m. on Jan. 30. According to WMUR, at least one person had to be rescued by firefighters during the incident, though no one was reportedly injured. The front of the apartment building, including the porch, were on fire that day, and it took about 15 minutes to extinguish the fire, WMUR has reported.
