Congratulations Andrew Haemker and Heather Durant

Newmarkets Newley Elected School Board Members

Dear Andrew Hemker and Heather Durant,

Congratulations on your recent elections to serve on the Newmarket school board. I sincerely hope that you will both serve with honesty and integrity; Newmarket citizens deserve nothing less.

I fear, however, given the sad state of affairs within the school district, to include ongoing criminal investigations against your fellow school board members, superintendent Givens and attorney Loughman, that your character will be tested immediately and often.

Please, whatever you do, do not allow Givens, Loughman, or your fellow board members to corrupt you. Adhere to your oath of office and do not violate our state laws, DOE rules, or act in any unethical manner. No one can make you become a criminal bum...if this happens, you chose to do so on your own.

Here is what I can tell you: Susan Givens, Gary Swanson, Elizabeth McKinney, Kim Shelton, and attorney Loughman have all violated our state laws and acted in unethical ways. I strongly advise you not to trust any of these bums. I fully expect that each of them will soon be prosecuted for their criminal and unethical behavior.

Under the “leadership” of former school board chairman Mike Kenison, the school board, superintendent, and attorney Loughman repeatedly violated RSA 91-A (Right-to-Know) by discussing issues and taking action in so-called “non-meetings with legal counsel.”

RSA 91-A does not allow a public body to discuss or take any action in a “non-meeting.” The only thing allowed to happen in a “non-meeting” with legal counsel is for a public body to receive legal advice. Any discussion and all actions taken must occur in a non-public pr public meeting and minutes of those meetings are required and all actions recorded.

RSA 91-A demands that every elected official who is aware of any violation of this law must report the violations and not allow the violations to continue. Do not violate the people’s rights.

You certainly have your work cut out for you. Givens and Loughman must immediately be fired, Swanson, McKinney, and Shelton must be asked to resign, Public records need to be opened and Criminal investigations must be aided in every aspect.

Newmarket voters have placed their trust in each of you; do not let them down.

Regards,

Jeffrey Thomas Clay
