Exeter Man Headed To Prison For 7 Years For Sex Crime
Patrick O'Brien, 61, of Exeter, pleaded guilty to multiple counts of felonious sexual assault and human trafficking of a 13-year-old.

EXETER, NH - Patrick O’Brien, 61 of Exeter, pleaded guilty Thursday to multiple counts of felonious sexual assault and human trafficking for the inappropriate contact he had with a 13-year-old in Manchester.
The case dates back to September 29, 2019 when the Manchester Police Department Juvenile Unit launched an extensive investigation, headed up by Detective Michael Valenti. Detectives had been contacted by someone known to the 13 year old and concerned about O’Brien’s relationship with the teenager. O’Brien was arrested on October 14, 2019.
Under the plea deal O’Brien will spend a minimum of 7 years in prison, with one year off the minimum mandatory sentence if he completes the Sex Offender Treatment Program. Also as part of the plea, his internet usage needs to be regulated by parole, he is to have no intentional contact with children under the age of 18, and he will be a lifetime registered sex offender, who will not be able to reside or travel to Manchester.
