EXETER, NH — Two people were sent to the hospital Tuesday after a truck crash in Exeter, according to New Hampshire State Police.

Around 1:45 p.m., troopers were sent to a commercial truck crash on Route 101 in Exeter. When they arrived, they found a 2007 Mack dump truck had left the road, traveled down an embankment, and overturned. The truck, according to Lt. John Hennessey, was being driven by a 71-year-old man from Billerica, Massachusetts.

Mechanical failure, Hennessey said, caused the vehicle to leave the highway.
