Core Pediatric Dentistry Hosts Give Kids a Smile Feb. 17

EXETER — Core Pediatric Dentistry will once again be sponsoring a Give Kids A Smile® event on Saturday, February 17, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm at their office at 5 Hampton Road, Exeter, NH to provide underserved children with free dental services. Children ages 1-14 may be brought in by a parent or guardian without an appointment for free dental exams and cleanings.

Nearly one in five children aged 5 to 12 years old has untreated cavities in their baby teeth, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Give Kids A Smile is held by participating dental offices nationally to:

  • Provide free, easily accessible dental services to qualifying individuals.
  • Raise awareness about untreated dental disease occurring locally and nationally and create local public and private partnerships to increase access to oral health care.

This is the third year the event has been hosted by Core Pediatric Dentistry in Exeter to provide free dental care to local children who need it.

The American Dental Association (ADA) launched the Give Kids A Smile program nationally in 2003 as a way for dentists to join with others in the community to provide dental services to underserved children. Since its inception, more than 5.5 million underserved children have received free oral health services.
