Get Ready for April Vacation Camp Fun

Southern District YMCA offers school vacation care for students K-5.

Planning a staycation this April Vacation? Southern District YMCA offers affordable, fun day camps for students in Kindergarten through fifth grade, according to a press statement.

Students may attend one day or all week. Busing is included in the low daily fee from convenient drop-off and pick-up locations in Kingston, Exeter and Hampton.

  • Monday, April 27: Day at YMCA Camp Lincoln – Climb the rock wall, test your aim in archery, get creative with tie dye and more! Cost: $48
  • Tuesday, April 28: Seacoast Science Center – Outside, explore tide pools and walking trails along the shore. Inside, check out the hands-on exhibits and touch tank. Cost: $45
  • Wednesday, April 29: Harvard Museum of Natural History – Discover birds of the world, the fishes gallery, mammal hall, arthropods, zoological gardens, glass flowers and more. For hands on activities, grades K-2 will become paleontologists for the day and explore fossils, discovering how they form. Grades 3-5 will explore jaws and claws learning about predator adaptations. Cost: $48
  • Thursday, April 30: Franklin Park Zoo – The animal kingdom awaits! Check out lions, giraffes, hyenas, poison dart frogs and more. After a long winter, everyone’s ready to get out—even the animals! Cost: $48
  • Friday, May 1: Patriots & Pirates Freedom Trail – From the capture of Captain Kidd to the Boston Tea Party, learn from Freedom Trail Players how the fiercely independent spirit of New England mariners contributed to the American Revolution. Following the trail, explore the U.S.S. Constitution. Cost: $48

Southern District YMCA programs are open to everyone, regardless of ability to pay. Financial assistance may be available to families in need. Trips have limited enrollment and are processed on a first come, first served basis. Registration opens on March 23, and closes on April 22, at 10 a.m.
