The Exeter team will be meeting Tuesdays and Thursdays after school and is available for girls in grades 3rd through 5th.

Girls on the Run of New Hampshire’s registration for the spring season is open for Lincoln Street Elementary School. The Exeter team will be meeting Tuesdays and Thursdays after school and is available for girls in grades 3rd through 5th. Girls on the Run (GOTR) is a physical activity-based, positive youth development program that inspires girls to be joyful, healthy and confident. The volunteer-led program brings together groups of 8-15 girls for a ten-week program beginning the week of March 13th.
“The program encourages personal development, team building and connection to the community”, says Jen Hubbell, Executive Director of the program. “Lessons include topics to enable girls to effectively problem solve and remain strong during adolescence.” Topics include dealing with self-image and the media, resisting peer-pressure, making healthy decisions and contributing to the community.
One of their star coaches, Jennifer Petty, from New London Elementary School sums up her coaching experience last fall as “one of the best experiences of my life… The change in my girls has been incredible. They have all grown into amazing, thoughtful, strong, powerful, and kind people, with solid heads on their shoulders. I wish I had GOTR when I was their age!”
