Jai Anlyn to Close After Today
Today is the final day of operations for Jai Anlyn in Exeter. The store is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Jai Anlyn at 186 Water Street is closing today, June 12. The shop is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Proprietor Lynda Raczek says there is a 50 percent off sale storewide. She will continue business at their new store, 20 Below Boutique in downtown Portsmouth, which opened last spring.
Raczek thanked her customers and greater Exeter in the letter below:
To all of our beloved customers,Â
Tomorrow, Thursday June 12 will be our last day of business. Thank you so much for 17 years of wonderful memories I will forever hold dear to my heart. I will always fondly remember my time in Exeter and all of my wonderful customers; from the ladies who walk everyday downtown and stop in on their way through to "see what's new," to those who came in every birthday for their wives and Christmas for the family, to those I had in-depth, meaningful conversations with on days either of us may have needed a friendly ear. I will truly miss you all!
I would just like to add that during my 17 years I have seen a great camaraderie between the downtown Exeter businesses and have come to realize how wonderful and unique they all are as individuals also. Big chain stores do not contribute to our community in the way that small businesses do. Shopping small really does make a difference and an immediate difference in the lives of small business owners and their families. Â Thank you for your support.
Sincerely,
Lynda Raczek
