Liquor Commission Holds Ribbon Cutting at Liquor, Wine Outlet

State-of-the-art, 12,000-square-foot store located in bustling Brickyard Square.

EPPING, NH - A ribbon cutting ceremony was held this morning for the opening of the New Hampshire Liquor Commission’s (NHLC) new, state-of-the-art, 12,000 square foot NH Liquor & Wine Outlet in Epping’s bustling Brickyard Square.

NHLC leadership and representatives from New Hampshire’s broker and supplier community addressed a crowd of 30 about the highly accessible location which is estimated to generate approximately $6 million in gross sales during the first year alone.

NHLC opened the new Epping NH Liquor & Wine Outlet on Dec. 7, 2015, to large crowds. The highly visible location at the junction of Routes 101 and 125 features premier national, regional and local businesses such as Michaels, GNC, Subway, Market Basket, O’Neil Cinemas, Marshalls, 900 Degrees Wood Fired Pizzeria, Tortilla Flat, Kume Japanese Restaurant, Beach Plum Restaurant and Popovers on the Square.

The new location is easily accessible to the estimated 61,000 cars that pass along Routes 101 and 125 per day and serves the communities of Epping, Fremont, Kingston, Durham, Madbury, Newmarket and the traveling public. The interior incorporates a New England-style barn clerestory with wooden truss detail, high efficiency LED fixtures, wide and spacious aisles for easy navigation, a 170-bottle temperature-controlled storage system for premium wines and two iPads to provide customers with product information, scores, and food pairing ideas.

The location features an outdoor patio space reserved for premium wine and spirit tastings when weather permits. The tasting area consists of a polished concrete patio and anodized metal railing enclosure which complements the New Hampshire-sourced granite exterior. The building was built to LEED Silver certification specifications with sustainable siding and trim and a durable wind rated metal standing seam roof.

Since 2012, NHLC has strategically relocated or renovated 20 NH Liquor & Wine Outlets in the following communities: Bedford, Concord, Epping, Gilford, Hooksett, Hampstead, Lebanon, Lincoln, Londonderry, Manchester, Merrimack, Milford, Nashua, North Hampton, Peterborough, Plaistow, Portsmouth, Salem and West Chesterfield. New locations are planned on Route 104 in New Hampton and in the new Riverside Landing development on Ridge View Lane in Plymouth.
