New Hampshire Couple Injured in Motorcycle Accident
A Barrington couple was severely injured after causing a chain motorcycle crash in Acton.
EXETER, NH - A Barrington couple was severely injured after causing a chain motorcycle crash in Acton. According to WGME, the Jared Russell, 41, of Barrington, NH and his wife Jennifer, 43, were involved in a three-motorcycle crash over the weekend with motorcyclists from Hampton and Exeter.
York County Sheriff William King said Jared Russell, 41, of Barrington, NH and his wife Jennifer, 43, were driving south on Route 109 with other motorcyclists headed home to New Hampshire when the accident occurred.
King said preliminary analysis indicates Jared Russell appeared to move his motorcycle closer to the others in the group or in front of them when his motorcycle struck another, causing all three to crash.

Jared Russell was flown to Maine Medical Center with serious head injuries. Jennifer Russell was eventually taken to Maine Medical Center as well with serious head injuries.
Robert Welch, 41, of Exeter, NH and passenger Brenda Clevesy, 47, of Haverhill, Mass. were treated the scene and released.

The third motorcycle was driven by Mark Driscoll, 56, of Hampton, NH. Driscoll refused treatment at the scene but sought medical care on his own later.
According to police, none of the people involved in the accident were wearing helmets and Russell and his wife remain in serious condition.
