Locally Grown Seedling Sale in Newfields May 23

Vernon Family Farm is hosting a seedling sale on May 16 and May 23 in conjunction with Hollister Family Farm.

The sale will include tomatoes, eggplant, zucchini, peppers and more, including a variety of heirloom seedlings. All seedlings are non-GMO and grown without spray. People can order online via the farm store website for the best selection.

“Hollister Family Farm grows some incredible seedlings, and we love working with them to provide more of the Seacoast community with local seedlings,” said Nicole Vernon, who owns the farm with her husband, Jeremiah. “Last year's event was extremely well attended, so much so that we actually sold out. Many people had the opportunity to try something new last summer--gardening--and I would imagine that many are excited to do it again.”

Those who plan to buy seedlings should bring a carrying tray, flat or box to carry the potted seedlings home.

Vernon Family Farm will continue to follow CDC guidelines as they relate to COVID-19. They have a hand wash station and seedlings will be outside farmer's market style.
