Northwood Police Respond To Man Standing On Route 4 With Shotgun
Police accuse Luke Foster of Manchester of shooting the tire on a vehicle traveling on Route 4. The suspect was quickly taken into custody.

NORTHWOOD, NH — Northwood police responded to the area of Route 4 and Route 43 for a report of an “active shooter” on Sunday, according to police.
When officers arrived they located a vehicle about a quarter of a mile south of Route 4 on Route 43. The victims in the vehicle were not injured and reported they had been traveling on Route 43 when they encountered a subject with a shotgun.
The victims told police the man was standing in the roadway, wearing a mask, and holding the shotgun. The subject approached the vehicle and proceeded to shoot out the tire of their vehicle and fled the scene in a black pickup truck.

Officers searched the area and moments later located the suspect still in the black pickup pulled over in a driveway on Route 43.
Police say the suspect still had the firearm with him and was taken into custody without further incident. The suspect is identified as Luke Foster, 20, of Manchester.

Foster was ordered held without bail and is being held at Rockingham County House of Corrections pending arraignment Monday in Rockingham County Superior Court.
Northwood Police Department was assisted by officers from Deerfield, Nottingham, Strafford, Barrington, and New Hampshire State Police.
