Sen. Shaheen Visits Heavy Construction Academy Site
New Hampshire Senator Jeanne Shaheen toured the Heavy Construction Academy and spoke about the importance of career schools in March.

BRENTWOOD, NH - New Hampshire Senator Jeanne Shaheen toured the Heavy Construction Academy and spoke about the importance of career schools in March.
According to a release, Sen. Shaheen and Heavy Construction Academy owner Ralph Delvecchio spoke at the school on Mar. 27.
"We need people in trades." Shaheen posted on her Facebook page, ‘The Heavy Construction Academy has been successful in graduating thousands of students, and successfully placing them in construction careers – which is so important to New Hampshire where businesses are struggling to fill skilled positions. It was great to see up close this successful program that is helping land Granite Staters in good paying jobs."

Shaheen also sat down with students from various regions of the country who traveled to New Hampshire for their 6-week certification training.
Students discussed their individual experience at H.C.A. and helpful ways the Senator might be able assist the industry making student financing for career schools more attainable for those who need financial assistance.

Delvecchio said these programs alongside other NH State programs enacted by Governor Chris Sununu will help fulfill a great need and bridge a gab in skilled labor forces, not only in NH, but across the country.
"We look forward to partnering with the State of New Hampshire to help champion new pathways for men and women to attend career schools," Brian Martin, Director of Operations said in a statement.
