Shearing Day at Charmingfare Farm

It's shearing time at Charmingfare Farm! Come see our sheep, alpacas and llamas get sheared for the upcoming warmer weather. It is a sure sign of spring! There will be lots of demonstrations and activities throughout the day for everyone. You will get to meet our shearers and ask questions and see first hand how shearing is done and just how much wool our animals produced. Macaroni Kid will be here doing craft projects with wool with the kids. Several local fiber producers will be demonstrating spinning and carding plus they will have some of their wool products here for sale. The local 4H Club the Candia Clovers will be demonstrating all things "WOOL". Be sure to ask these sheep experts lots of questions they are ready for you. Visit all the animals and meet all the spring babies born on the farm. There will be horse-drawn and tractor train rides. Our ponies are ready to give your little equine lovers a pony ride, too. It will be a great day to get outside and enjoy spring at the farm.
