Tri for the Y Welcomes Triathletes of All Levels Kids and Sprint Triathlons
Registration is now open for the August events.
Registration is now open for Tri for the Y, USA Triathlon-sanctioned sprint and kids triathlons, at YMCA Camp Lincoln on Aug. 1 and Aug. 2, 2015, according to a press statement.
Tri for the Y, open to beginner and elite triathletes, benefits local families providing financial assistance so that anyone - regardless of ability to pay - can participate in YMCA programs like summer camp! AUG. 2: Sprint Triathlon
The sprint triathlon on August 2 offers a challenging course for beginning and elite triathletes. The scenic course includes a 0.25 mile swim in Kingston Lake, 14.3 mile ride on generally flat roads and a 3 mile run on pavement and forest trails. A post-race barbeque is included for all racers.
AUG. 1: Kids Triathlon
Special kids-only triathlons on Saturday, August 1 feature shorter distances and age group divisions. Triathletes and their families are invited to make it a weekend with overnight cabin rentals.
