NEWFIELDS__Vernon Family Farm is hosting Dinner and Sheep Show this Friday with a demonstration by nationally recognized sheepdogs from Heart Stone Farm.

Tim Molinero and his wife Lisa, who operate the Milton, NH sheep farm, will hold two demonstrations in Newfields on June 4. The first will go from 4:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. and the second from 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.

“Watching the dogs work is incredible,” said Nicole Vernon, who owns the farm with her husband Jeremiah. “Tim directs the dog and Lisa announces what is happening so that the public can learn as they watch.”

Heart Stone Farm’s lamb, a specialty heritage breed called Gulf Coast Sheep, is sold in the Vernon Family Farm store. The farm’s border collies have been nationally recognized for their herding. The farm will host another Dinner and Sheep Show event on Aug. 13.

As part of the June event, guests can enjoy a rotisserie chicken dinner, raised and cooked by the farmer on the farm or a BBQ chicken plate, which comes with fries and coleslaw. BBQ chicken plates are available on all Fridays except on Fried Chicken Nights. Events are BYOB and guests are asked to leave their pets at home. Due to COVID-19 regulations and restrictions, dining at the farm is limited and requires reservations for a spot and supper.
