Vernon Family Farm Kicks Off Summer 2021 Fried Chicken Nights

NEWFIELDS__ Vernon Family Farm is holding their popular Fried Chicken Dinner nights twice a month this summer, beginning on June 12.

Vernon Family Farm’s own non-GMO pasture raised chicken will be fried up and offered as a complete dinner meal. Each Vernon Fried Chicken plate ($25) includes two pieces of perfectly fried chicken thighs, coleslaw, a biscuit dipped in butter and potato salad. The fried chicken is not a gluten or dairy-free meal.

On farm dining is currently sold out for Saturday, June 12 but drive through fried chicken plates are still available. Customers can pre-order their fried chicken plate on the farm’s website and pick up in a drive-through style system or dine-in at the farm via registration.

“Fried Chicken Night at the farm was tremendously popular last year. Many new customers learned about who we are and what we do as they flocked to the farm for some tasty local food--pun intended,” said Nicole Vernon, who owns the farm with her husband, Jeremiah. “This year we are so excited to be able to offer on farm dining with music as well as drive through take out.”

The Vernon Fried Chicken nights will take place on the second Saturday and the fourth Friday of the month. There will be live music and limited on farm dining options as well. Reservations are required to eat at the farm and fill up quickly. Dinners are always available for take-out. The farm always offers their rotisserie chicken available for pick up on Fridays. Vernon Family Farm store is open until 8pm on event nights to accommodate more local food shopping.
