Board Elects New Chair to Replace the Late Vic Lessard
The Hampton Zoning Board has chosen a new chairman in the wake of Robert "Vic" Lessard's passing.

Bryan Provencal has been named the new Hampton Zoning Board chairman.
The position had been open since last week due to the sudden death of Chairman Robert "Vic" Lessard, 79.
Provencal had been the vice chairman of the board before Lessard's passing, and he will serve as the chairman until the board's annual reorganization vote after the March town elections.
Bill O'Brien, a previous chairman of the board, will take over as vice chairman, while Lessard's brother Jack has been appointed to fill the open seat until March.
Jack Lessard had been an alternate member, and James Scully will replace him in that role for until March 2016.
On a related note, the board met Thursday night, discussing a couple of significant Hampton Beach business proposals.
