Celebrate New Year's Eve with Fireworks, Open Houses at Hampton Beach

New Year's fireworks at Hampton Beach

HAMPTON BEACH, NH - 12/28/2015 - Ring in the New Year with your family at the beach on Thursday, December 31, 2015. Don’t miss the spectacular fireworks over the sandy beach and the dark, vast Atlantic Ocean. Let the magnificent display take your breath away, and make this a family tradition for the New Year. This event is free for everyone.

There will be a special New Year’s Eve fireworks display, sponsored by the Hampton Beach Village District, on the beach at the top of B-C Streets. This is a family-fun event so the fireworks will begin at 8 p.m. The fireworks are especially impressive in winter because the colder weather provides for a crisper, clearer view of the pyrotechnics display. The restrooms at the Sea Shell Stage will be open to the public for this event. Come down to the Atlantic Ocean and ring in 2016 in a special way!

The Blue Ocean Discovery Center will also be hosting an Open House from 7-9 p.m. They will provide coffee, hot chocolate, and cookies, courtesy of the Hampton Beach Village District, at their facilities at the top of D Street. Come visit their two 100-gallon touch tanks, take part in family-friendly activities, touch starfish and view rare, multi-colored lobsters. Your kids will enjoy learning about the unusual creatures that populate our oceans and have an exciting opportunity to touch them too. Tickets can be purchased on the day of the event at the door of the Blue Ocean Discovery Center for $1 each. All proceeds from the event will go towards Blue Ocean Society for Marine Conservation’s goal of protecting marine life in the Gulf of Maine by inspiring action through research and education. For more information, contact the Blue Ocean Society at 603-431-0260.
