Festival of Trees to Usher in Holiday Season

"A Christmas Story" opens at the Rep; Santa Claus at Fox Run Mall to hear Christmas wish lists; and

Looking for something fun to do on the Seacoast this weekend? Here are some ideas:

1. Festival of Trees returns: The Portsmouth Garden Club's 20th "Festival of Trees" event will be held this weekend at the Urban Forestry Center in Portsmouth from Friday through Sunday. Tickets are $5 and children under 12 are free.

2. "A Christmas Story" at the Rep:
The Seacoast Repertory Theatre's production of "A Christmas Story" begins its holiday run this weekend with performances on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
 

3. Holiday craft fair: The Exeter Area GFWC hosts its 36th annual Yuletide Fair on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Cooperative Middle School in Stratham.

4. Santa Claus is back: Santa will continue to be at the Fox Run Mall to hear everyone's Christmas wish lists and take photos until Dec. 24.

5. Jesse Dee at Press Room: Jesse Dee with Lyle Brewer will perform at The Press Room in Portsmouth on Friday at 9 p.m. Tickets are $12 and doors open at 8 p.m.
