Master Sand Sculpting Winners Celebrated

Guy-Olivier Deveau won first place in the 14th annual Master Sand Sculpting Competition at Hampton Beach on June 22, 2014.

Deveau, of Quebec, Canada, won with his "Inseminate" sand sculpture. 

Other award winners:

  • Second place went to Karen Fralich of Ontario, Canada, for "Yin and Yang."
  • Carl D. Jara of Ohio won third with "Putting Down Roots."
  • David Andrews of Wisconsin won fourth with "Serene Song."
  • Damon Langlois of British Columbia won fifth with "Out of Sand."
  • Michel Lepire of Quebec won the People's Choice award with "Together We Are One."
