Nathan Saddler, the principal of the school, called Gardiner "a phenomenal educator" who has emphasized creating community with her students — with a strong focus on positive relationships and connections.
"She does a great job meeting students where they are academically, behaviorally, and social-emotionally and then differentiating her instruction and approaches to meet each student's individual needs," he said. "Her students perform well and demonstrate solid growth under her guidance."
Gardiner previously taught fourth-grade in the Concord School District.
The prize was organized to recognize educators for the 2020-2021 school year.
