Kenda, Muns File for NH State Senate
Kenda challenges Nancy Stiles for the GOP nomination, while Rep. Chris Muns seeks the Democratic Party nomination for state Senate District 24.
Steve Kenda, a businessman from North Hampton, is now officially a candidate for the Republican nomination for state Senate District 24.
Kenda filed papers with Secretary of State William Gardner and will challenge Republican incumbent Nancy Stiles of Hampton.
"I respect Senator Stiles and her service in Concord," Kenda said last month, "but I believe it’s time for a renewed sense of focus in this senate seat—a real understanding that you build a better future for New Hampshire by attracting great businesses to the state and making it easy for them to create jobs."
The state primary is Sept. 9.
State Rep. Chris Muns of Hampton filed as a candidate for the Democratic Party nomination for District 24.
State Senate District 24 represents Greenland, Hampton, Hampton Falls, Kensington, New Castle, North Hampton, Newton, Rye, Seabrook, Stratham and South Hampton.
The candidate filing period is open until 5 p.m. June 13.
