Massachusetts Teen Dies After Motorcycle Crash In South Hampton

SOUTH HAMPTON, NH — A motorcyclist died Saturday after he lost control of his bike and crashed in South Hampton, according to New Hampshire State Police.

Troopers from Troop A were called to the area of Route 150 near Evans Road for a motorcycle crash around 12:30 p.m. Lt. John Hennessey said the preliminary investigation revealed Dakota Chaisson, 19, of West Newbury, Massachusetts, was riding a 2001 Kawasaki ZX6 on the northbound side of Route 150 when he lost control of the motorcycle and was ejected.

Chaisson was taken to Seabrook emergency room on Lafayette Road and pronounced dead.

"Based on witness statements and evidence at the scene, it appears that speed was a factor in the causation of this crash," Hennessey said. "However, all aspects of this crash remain under investigation by state police."

Parts of Route 150 were closed for approximately two hours while troopers investigated the crash.

The South Hampton police and fire departments, Seabrook Police Department, Hampton Falls Police Department, East Kingston police and fire departments and Amesbury police and fire departments all assisted state troopers at the crash scene.
