New York Man's Death From Fall Ruled Accidental

HAMPTON, NH — The death of a New York man after a fall from a balcony on Ocean Boulevard Saturday has been ruled an accident, according to police.

Police and fire and rescue teams were sent to the Sea Spiral Suites around 6:45 p.m. for a report of a man falling off a third story balcony. The man, Gregory Demarsh, 58, of Amsterdam, New York, was treated by EMTs and taken to Portsmouth Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

"The Hampton police investigated this incident and have determined this to be an accidental fall and no foul play is suspected," Deputy Chief David Hobbs of the Hampton Police Department said Monday.
