NHSP Enforcement Cites 46 Drivers For Over 90 MPH On Route 95

Police charge ten drivers with reckless driving that were accused of traveling over 100 MPH. NHSP Aircraft coordinated with ground units.

HAMPTON FALLS, NH - New Hampshire State Police Special Enforcement Unit conducted a detail for five hours on Route 95 in Hampton Falls on Sunday. The enforcement effort was to target drivers speeding and aggressive behavior.

NHSP with several Troopers in cruisers and the State Police Aviation Unit conducted 121 motor vehicle stops in a five-hour period between 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.

Forty-six motorists were stopped after they were clocked with speeds in excess of 90 Miles Per Hour. Ten drivers were observed traveling over 100 MPH. NH State Police Captain Christopher Vetter said the drivers clocked at over 100 MPH also were charged with reckless operation that can result in license suspension. Three vehicles were traveling over 115 MPH according to Captain Vetter.

New Hampshire State Police regularly use the aircraft to targeting speed, and reckless behavior. The plane allows the vehicles to not detect the speed enforcement until a cruiser pulls the driver.

In addition to speed and reckless driving, several drivers faced charges of driving with expired registration and not having valid licenses.
