North Hampton Firefighters Respond To Car Fire Fully Engulfed
A car was fully engulfed in fire near a house when North Hampton firefighters and police arrived to the South Road location.
NORTH HAMPTON, NH — North Hampton firefighters extinguished a care fire Monday, according to reports online.
Firefighters were notified of a car fire in close proximity to a residential structure on South Road at just after 7:30 a.m. The first arriving unit to the scene found a passenger car fully engulfed in flames but no people inside the vehicle. North Hampton Engine 1 arrived within three minutes of the initial call, stretched a hose line to the fire, and quickly knocked it down. They then entered the home to check for any occupants.
North Hampton Fire said flames were upwards towards the soffits and heat was damaging the exterior of the home. Both Engine Companies needed to rapidly assess that no fire extended into the structure. The occupants of the home were alerted of the fire, and were able to safely escape to the neighbors yard and called 9-1-1.

The first arriving North Hampton police unit assisted by ensuring the residents were safe and shut down South Road to allow the fire department to operate safely.
No injuries to the occupants or firefighters were reported.
