Ocean Boulevard Crash Leads To Drunken Driving Charge In Hampton

HAMPTON, NH — Two Hampton residents are facing charges after a rollover accident on Ocean Boulevard Tuesday.

Police were sent to a report of car crashing into two other vehicles at just before 12:30 a.m. near Haverhill Avenue.

"Upon arrival, officers found that a silver 2017 Chevrolet Cruze had crashed into two unoccupied parked cars and came to rest on its driver's side, across the sidewalk," Lt. Alex Reno of the Hampton Police Department said.

The driver of the car, Kiely J. O'Leary, 21, of Hampton, was accused of being under the influence and arrested on a single driving under the influence charge.

Reno said neither O'Leary nor two passengers in the car were seriously injured but were evaluated by Hampton EMTs. The two passengers were taken into protective custody.

However, one of the passengers, Jack E. Clark, 21, of Hampton, was later arrested on criminal mischief charge. Reno stated officers said Clark "smeared blood on the walls of the booking pod he was in" while being held.

Both O'Leary and Clark are due in Hampton District Court on Jan. 12, 2012, for arraignment.
