Patch Wins Press Association Awards

Print, online media outlets feted at banquet on Dec. 5.

The New Hampshire Press Association held its awards banquet and board elections on Dec. 5, handing out recognitions in 60 different categories for daily, non-daily, and college media outlets.

Patch.com received two awards at the event. Paul Brogan, (pictured right) a blogger for Concord NH Patch, was named Best Blog. Also winning second place in the Spot News Daily category was Kyle Stucker, (left) formerly of Hampton-North Hampton Patch.

The organization also held its board elections. The following individuals were elected: Casey Conley, of Foster’s Daily Democrat; Melanie Plenda, freelancer writer; Tony Schinella, of Patch.com; Trent Spiner, of the Union Leader; and Jonathan Van Fleet, of the Concord Monitor.

They join current members Anika Clark of The Keene Sentinel; Sarah Palermo of the Concord Monitor; Kyle Stucker of Hawthorn Creative; Clay Wirestone of the Concord Monitor; David Brooks, of the Nashua Telegraph (treasurer); and Megan Doyle, of the Concord Monitor (secretary).
