Pet Adoption Event Coming To Seabrook

SEABROOK, NH — The Seabrook branch of Merrimack Valley Credit Union will host an inaugural pet adoption event, partnering with Haverhill, Massachusetts, nonprofit One Tail at a Time. People will be able to meet dogs and other small animals looking for a home. The event will take place Sunday, Aug. 11 at the Seabrook branch, located in the Seabrook Commons Plaza, at 700 Lafayette Road.

The fun-filled "Wags and Woofles" event will take place 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., John Howard, president and CEO of Merrimack Valley Credit Union, hopes to introduce dozens of animals to new homes. Those in attendance will also be treated to ice cream cones — called "Woofle" cones — from the ice cream truck.

"The pet adoption event is one of the ways that we work to make a lasting, positive impact in our community," said Howard. "And nothing is better than helping a family find a pet to love. Animals are a part of our community too, and bring so much joy to others."

One Tail at a Time is a volunteer nonprofit organization that rescues dogs and puppies from high-risk shelters. The organization works to ensure the dogs in its care are healthy and ready to join their new families.
