Planet Fitness Opens World HQ In Hampton

HAMPTON, NH — Planet Fitness executives and public officials celebrated the opening of its new world headquarters with a ribbon cutting ceremony on July 27, 2017. Gov. Chris Sununu, R-NH, Planet Fitness CEO Chris Rondeau, and others, including other company employees, franchisees, and local dignitaries, attended the morning event on Liberty Lane West in Hampton. Company officials say the new space will support “the tremendous runway for growth ahead of the leading fitness brand, which has experienced aggressive expansion.”

The company has more than doubled its footprint and increased its number of corporate employees from approximately 40 employees to 180 during the past five years. “Planet Fitness is proud to remain in New Hampshire, where the company was founded 25 years ago,” the company stated in a press release. “As Planet Fitness continues to grow and add top talent to its roster, the new headquarters is an investment in its employees, its future, and the business growth and development in the state of New Hampshire.”

Planet Fitness has more than 10 million members and more than 1,300 locations in 48 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and Canada.
