Seabrook Fire Kills One, Second Victim Flown To Boston
A person died in a fire on Spruce Court. A second person was rescued from the burning home and flown to Boston with serious injuries.
SEABROOK, NH — Seabrook fire and police units responded to the scene of a reported fire on Spruce Court on Wednesday.
When arriving at around 10:15 p.m., a police officer was able to rescue one resident from the home. That person was flown to Massachusetts General Hospital for treatment. No details on the condition of the person flown to Boston are available at this time.
The fire was extinguished, however, one occupant of the residence was found and had been unable to escape and was later pronounced dead at the scene, according to NH Fire Marshal Paul Parisi.

An autopsy was conducted at Concord Hospital on Thursday and the cause of death was smoke inhalation and the manner of death is accidental. At this time the victim has not been positively identified.
State Fire Marshal Parisi wants to remind everyone to maintain working smoke alarms in their homes, keep exits clear of debris, have their heating systems inspected and maintained on an annual basis, and keep at least a three to five-foot clearance around any heating appliance from other combustible materials.
