Newburyport Bank has donated $2,000 to the Seacoast Science Center in Rye.
RYE, NH — Newburyport Bank has donated $2,000 to support the Seacoast Science Center, located in Odiorne Point State Park in Rye. The money will go to support the Atlantic Grill Music by the Sea Series taking place weekly through Aug. 1.
"As a bank founded on the water's edge, we're acutely aware of the important efforts of the Science Center," said Lloyd L. Hamm Jr., president and CEO of Newburyport Bank. "The Seacoast Region is blessed with our beautiful Atlantic, and we're proud to contribute to its conservation and health."
Seacoast Science Center is a nonprofit marine science education organization, which aims to spark curiosity, enhance understanding and inspire conservation. Its concerts provide community members a chance to experience some of New England's best bands in a festive seaside tent. This year's concerts will take place July 11, July 18, July 25 and Aug. 1.
