Some Hampton Tolls To Close For 3 Days
The Open Road Toll at the Hampton Toll Plaza on Interstate 95 will be closed for maintenance for three days next week.
HAMPTON, NH — The Open Road Toll in the Hampton Toll Plaza, located on Interstate 95, will be closed for three days next week due to maintenance work, New Hampshire Department of Transportation has announced. The closure at the ORT tolls will be in effect from around 2 a.m. Tuesday to around noon on Thursday, weather permitting. The closure will be in effect for both the north and south lanes of I-95, according to DOT officials.
During the three-day closure, all drivers traveling through the tolls will be directed to the non-ORT portion of the plaza, to cash lanes or a dedicated E-ZPass lane, DOT officials stated. Drivers should use caution and be mindful of signs and traffic cones that will guide them into appropriate lanes as they go through the tolls. According to the DOT, the closure is necessary for routine maintenance work on the toll equipment.
