SQD: Aged Rum Launch

The newest rum in Smoky Quartz Distillery line up is the Granite Coast Aged Rum. Granite Coast Aged Rum is a hand crafted, aged, premium rum, from Veteran owned and operated distillery in Seabrook,NH. The newest local spirit from the seacoast New Hampshire distillery was age 3.5 months in the distillers V5 bourbon barrels before the 200 bottles were released last week.

This limited release aged rum is distilled from Grade A (the first squeeze of sugarcane, on the opposite end of the scale from blackstrap) Louisiana molasses and fermented with Champagne yeast. Your senses will be delighted when you smell sugar, a hint of floral and vanilla frosting, and a scent similar to “butter-rum lifesavers.” In addition, the rum has a taste of sugar with some mild heat in the middle, a slight dry yeasty finish, and sweet floral elements.
