Winnacunnet High School Wrestlers Off to Strong Start

The Winnacunnet High School wrestling team recently placed second at the 10-team Bronco Invitational Tournament, starting Eric Larcomb's Warriors head coaching career on a positive note.

Senior and team co-captain Lucas Rosa placed first overall in the 145-pound weight class at the tournament, which was held at Alvirne High School in Hudson on Dec. 14.

  • Freshman John Ferrelli — 2nd place, 120-pound class
  • Sophomore Ryan Boyle — 2nd place, 160-pound class
  • Sophomore Michael Ellis — 2nd place, 285-pound class
  • Senior and co-captain Francis Rosa — 3rd place, 103-pound class

The team, whose third co-captain is Danny Merchant, had its home opener Thursday.
