Woman Arrested On Felony Charges After Tanker Crash On Route 101
State police accuse Desiree Gulyban of Hampton of causing a fuel tanker to crash and spill 6,000+ gallons of fuel in Epping in December.

EPPING, NH — A Hampton woman is facing two felony charges after a month-long investigation into a tractor-trailer crash on the westbound side of Route 101 in Epping that led to more than 6,000 gallons of fuel being spilled. On Dec. 16, 2019, a Volvo S60 reportedly drove into a fuel tanker carrying around 11,000 gallons of gasoline. As a result of the crash, a New Boston truck driver and Desiree Gulyban, 25, of Hampton, the driver of the Volvo, were taken to hospitals with serious injuries.
The crash shut down both sides of the highway for many hours with first responders coming from all across the region. The westbound side of the highway was closed for nearly 10 hours, according to New Hampshire State Police.
After investigating the incident, state troopers accused Gulyban of cutting across the high-speed lane, for an unknown reason, and crashing into the cab of the truck, causing the tanker to rollover.
