Airlift Of 4 Million Coronavirus Masks For VA Lands In NH
The shipment of more than 110,000 pounds of protective gear is the largest to date for New Hampshire.

LONDONDERRY, NH — A FedEx plane carrying more than 110,000 pounds of personal protective gear landed Thursday afternoon on the tarmac of Manchester-Boston Regional Airport in New Hampshire. It is the largest-ever shipment of "PPE" equipment to New Hampshire.
The shipment, which was purchased by the state, includes more than 4 million masks destined for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. The state will be reimbursed for the masks, according to a news release from the governor's office.
In a series of tweets, New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu said, "We owe those on the front-lines taking care of our Veterans the protection they deserve," and credited the help of Segway inventor Dean Kamen for securing the shipment.

We owe those on the front-lines taking care of our Veterans the protection they deserve. I give a lot of credit to Secretary Wilkie for leaving no stone unturned in his search for equipment, and I am honored that New Hampshire could help VA hospitals across the country. (2/4)
