Boston Man Arrested In NH On Drunken Driving Charge After Crash

Paul Bartlett Jr. of Dorchester is accused of rear-ending an SUV which led to him being involved in a head-on crash with a truck on I-293.

MANCHESTER, NH — A Massachusetts man was arrested on a felony drunken driving charge Sunday after a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 293 in Manchester, according to New Hampshire State Police.

Just before 2 a.m., state troopers were sent to the northbound side of the highway by the Granite Street overpass for an accident report. According to Lt. Bryan Trask of Troop B, Paul A. Bartlett Jr., 31, of Dorchester, Massachusetts, was accused of driving a Nissan Maxima on the southbound side of the highway "at a high rate of speed." He then accused Bartlett of rear-ending a 2008 Toyota RAV4 being driven by a Manchester man.

"That crash sent (the RAV4 driver) into the guardrail on the overpass and sent Bartlett across the median and onto the northbound side of the highway where he then crashed, head on, into a 2009 Nissan Titan," Trask said.
