Chamber's Nonprofit Academy Continues with Social Media Workshop
Second installment of popular series to teach nonprofit staff and volunteers to be efficient and effective on popular social media networks.

Aimed at helping the region’s nonprofit organizations increase both their capacity and their effectiveness, the Greater Derry Londonderry Chamber of Commerce’s Nonprofit Academy will host its second workshop from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 5, at the Chamber office at 29 West Broadway in Downtown Derry.
At that time, Marlana Carroll, Digital Marketing Strategist at Grapvine Marketing, will present “Getting Social Media Right for Your Nonprofit,” according to a press statement.
This workshop will teach nonprofit staff and volunteers practical ways to be efficient and effective on popular social media networks. Topics to be covered include:

- What and how often you should post on social media
- How to create a social media posting schedule
- How other organizations are using social media sites
- The do’s and don’ts of each channel
- Tips on how to tell if your social media activity is working
Sponsored by Enterprise Bank, the Chamber’s Nonprofit Academy is a four-part workshop series featuring one workshop per quarter. The series’ first installment in August filled the Chamber’s conference room.
“Nonprofits — from charities to youth sports leagues to community service clubs — undertake so much important work in our region,” said Greater Derry Londonderry Chamber of Commerce President Will Stewart. “The Nonprofit Academy is one way the Chamber is working to strengthen these organizations and the critical role they play in our communities.”

Nonprofit Academy workshops, which all include a catered lunch from California Grille, are free for Chamber members and $10 per workshop for nonmembers.
